Alejandro Tomsic, our partner from Sorbonne Université, was awarded with the Prize for Best French PhD in Systems and Networking 2019 for his thesis entitled “Exploring the design space of highly-available distributed transactions”. The prize is awarded yearly by ASF (the French chapter of ACM Sigops) and by RSD (the French research network in Networked and Distributed Systems). The award ceremony and presentation of Alejandro’s work took place on 26 June at the COMPAS 2019 conference in Anglet, France.
